This is an absolutely spectacular work and very relevant for our time. Men who think outside convention are always feared even though they may have everyone's best interest at heart. It's a shame that so many miscreants exist in our society who feel the need to silence those who try to make a difference in the world.

I think the composition is of the utmost relevance as the historical figures who have fallen to the assassin's bullet or the political machines that label them dangerous inhabit the top part of the painting. The suggestion that Barack Obama may be in danger is clear, especially if one considers that the conservative factions in the U.S. are the ones who think their "gun rights" are being threatened by our new liberal President (I heard that there is even a gun store owner in Washington state who is raffling off a very expensive shotgun to the person who chooses the projected date of Obama's assassination).

The Disney cartoon figures are the PERFECT symbol for the close-minded masses who often support these political or religious killings; they are caricatures of men who embrace conservative causes and fear the change which they see as injurious to their way of life. Oftentimes, these "cartoon figures" mistakenly believe that their violent actions will change the world when all they've done is ensure that true change will never come. Thankfully, they are often forgotten in the obscurity of death or long-time prison terms.

Although I'm a very avid gun owner, I hope that should this painting be prophetic and Obama should fall to an assassin's bullet, the most stringent gun laws be put into place, starting with comprehensive psychological examinations and a full range of IQ tests.

This is one of the most politically astute paintings I've seen in a very long time!
