Maybe it's because of the story, "Something Wicked This Way Comes," but I've always felt an undercurrent of danger, evil and debauchery in a circus/carnival setting. The people who work those gigs are rightfully reclusive (because of the mistrust of wanderers by townspeople), but that doesn't take a thing away from their air of forbidden mystery and danger.
I think your image in the foreground of skulls and strawberries is the perfect analogy for the carney atmosphere. Nice work (as usual), Dave!
So e-vile! I really like how they whole thing has the disturbing circus vibe but yet one side is even more twisted and evil than the other. Subtle but nice! I don't know of there is a long drawn out explanation for it of you felt like just representing the darkest of the drak side of creepy carnival atmosphere. Once again I love your style!!!
